Argus IT B.V. handles personal data with care. This privacy statement explains which data we process through this website, why, how long we keep it and what your rights are.

Who we are

Argus IT B.V., based in Heemstede, the Netherlands, is the controller for personal data processed through argusit.nl.

  • Chamber of Commerce (KVK) number: 92000967
  • Email: info@argusit.nl
  • Phone: +31 23 208 4086

Contact form

When you fill in the contact form, we process your name, email address, the topic and your message, and your phone number and company name if you provide them. If you arrived on the site through a Google ad, a technical Google click ID is sent along as well. We use this data to respond to your question and, where relevant, to prepare a collaboration. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering questions, or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.

We keep this data for as long as needed to handle your question and no longer than two years after our last contact, unless it leads to a contract. In that case the statutory retention periods apply.

Applying through the careers page

When you respond through the careers page, we process your name, email address, LinkedIn profile, CV and what you write to us, and your phone number if you provide it. We only use this data to assess your application and to contact you. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into an employment or engagement contract.

If we do not end up working together, we delete your data no later than four weeks after the end of the process. With your consent we keep it for up to one year, in case a suitable role comes up later.

Newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we process your email address to send it to you. The legal basis is your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time through the link at the bottom of every newsletter, after which we remove your email address from the mailing list.

Cookies and visitor statistics

This website uses Cookiebot to record your cookie consent. Only if you consent to statistics or marketing cookies do we load Google Analytics and Google Ads conversion tracking through Google Tag Manager. In addition, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count anonymously how many people view our pages. Cloudflare Web Analytics does not set cookies, does not store anything on your device and does not store IP addresses. Our cookie page shows exactly which cookies we use and lets you change your choice.

Who else processes your data

For this website and our communication we work with the following parties, which process data on our behalf:

  • Microsoft (website hosting on Azure, email through Microsoft 365)
  • Formspree (processing and forwarding the contact and application forms)
  • Mailchimp (sending the newsletter)
  • Google (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Google Ads, only with your consent)
  • Cloudflare (anonymous visitor statistics)
  • Usercentrics (Cookiebot, recording your cookie preferences)

Some of these parties are based in the United States. Data transferred there is covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. We do not sell your data and do not share it with others, unless the law requires us to.

Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss and unauthorised use. The website is only served over an encrypted connection (https), and access to the data is limited to the people who need it for their work.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete your data. You can also object to the processing, have it restricted, have your data transferred and withdraw consent you have given. To do so, email info@argusit.nl. We respond within one month.

If you disagree with how we handle your data, please let us know. You always have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

Changes

We update this privacy statement when our website or the way we work changes. The date at the top shows when that last happened.
